Cultural and Linguistic Competency Requirements
In 2006, the State of California passed legislation (Assembly Bill 1195) mandating that CME providers based within California provide content on Cultural and Linguistic Competency (CLC). CME focusing on Cultural and Linguistic Competency (CLC) is one way to ensure that physicians maintain the relevant professional development necessary to reflect the changing demographic profile of California.
